Some
time ago I’ve got this hand balm as a present from a family member. The balm
comes in a tube of 75ml and lasts really a long time as you only need a small
amount.
The
hand balm is white and has a real pleasant smell. It’s very rich and the hands
feel smooth and nourished. It’s very easy to apply and spread. And the balm is
absorbed very quickly without leaving a “film”.
It’s
very economical as you need only a small amount, which justifies the price.
The
design of the tube gives the impression that the balm is very natural. However,
there two ingredients, which sound the warning bells: methylparaben und propylparaben.
In studies it was shown that paraben is able to mimic the hormone estrogen
(oestrogen). Some paraben are known to drive the growth of tumours. Scientists
also found paraben in samples of breast cancer tumours.
Everyone
has to decide for oneself how much you can expect of your body until more tests
have been made to prove that paraben is safe.
